My "Jewish food story" includes growing up in the food business (my father was a food broker); founding and operating a natural foods store (1973-1975) in the heart of the Brookline, MA kosher food "ghetto"; the origins and evolution of Noah's New York Bagels (1989-1996); and finally the rise and fall of Ristorante Raphael, Berkeley's one and only kosher dairy white table cloth restaurant (1993- 1997). Strictly the facts, the foibles and the fun of selling food to Jews!
